Lack of comfort sucks

I’ve seen today an interesting video, ‘Are cold showers good for you?’, in the BBC webpage. It almost made me want to try those benefits straightaway, but then I thought I’ll have to suffer cold showers in most of trips anyway, so why would I want to anticipate such an exhilarating feeling?

The food is never blah if the views are fantastic (Costa Brava, Spain).

Sleepless nights in a tent, eating from tins and on the go, having only water for breakfast, endlessly looking for a place to hide behind and pass that same water – in this list of things that suck I wouldn’t add cold showers because a shower is a luxury in all cases. It actually implies having a place with running water, a miracle in most parts of the world. My friend Mel and I often laugh at my anecdote of how a tin of asparagus saved my life in two-day walk to Antequera beach in Tenerife. She then sings to me her own version of ‘Last Night a Asparagus Saved my Life’ and I can only be thankful for having forgotten most of the bad times I’ve had in my trips.
